Panel Session 1

AI & Growing Energy Demand

As artificial intelligence scales at an unprecedented pace, it brings with it a new kind of energy challenge. The data centers powering AI models are fast becoming one of the world’s largest sources of electricity demand, testing the limits of today’s grids and climate goals. At the same time, AI’s growth is redefining what “sustainability” means in tech: beyond carbon offsets and renewable credits, firms are now tracking emissions per computation and embedding efficiency into model design. This panel convenes technologists, financiers, and policymakers to explore how breakthroughs in energy supply, including SMRs to AI-optimized renewables, and advances in model efficiency can converge to decarbonize compute infrastructure. Together, they’ll ask: how can we power intelligence sustainably and what might a truly net-zero AI ecosystem look like by 2030?

Agriculture & Food Systems

The Agriculture and Food Systems Panel aims to investigate how we can create a more sustainable food supply chain through food production and sourcing advancements. The panel will bring together experts from the traditional agricultural sector, leaders in agriscience, and key investors to identify how the agricultural and food sector are addressing the industry’s most pressing barriers.

12:00 - 12:50

Panel Session 2

Energy in Geopolitics

Insurance & Climate Risk

There are major environmental issues headed our way that put the financial system as it stands at great risk of upheaval. Climate change brings with it an increased incidence of weather catastrophes, and these physical risks threaten everyone from homeowners to major corporations. Insurance, which usually pools risks to cover its costs, faces a problem: how can they pool risk when entire areas are highly vulnerable to floods or fires? How can we develop new approaches to assessing risk and assigning policies?

2:00 - 2:50

Panel Session 3

Batteries and the Grid

Sustainable VCs

As the urgency of the climate crisis reshapes mindsets and markets, venture capital has emerged as a powerful force in driving the transition towards a sustainable economy. This panel brings together leading voices in sustainable venture capital to unpack how investors identify, fund, and scale companies.

Panellists will discuss the evolving thesis behind “sustainability-first” investing, examining how VCs are backing climate tech, clean energy, circular-economy, and social-innovation startups that align with the UN SDGs. Additionally, the conversation will explore how they navigate the tension between profitability and purpose, how they assess risk and resilience in a rapidly evolving regulatory landscape, and what metrics are emerging to measure real-world impact.

From early-stage innovation to institutional integration, what will the path forward look like for VCs as they seek to balance financial performance with global sustainability goals?

3:00 - 4:00

Closing Keynote & Ceremony:

John Melby, Xpansiv
